Robert Bing Prize

The Robert Bing Prize is financed by the legacy of the Basel neurologist Robert Bing (1878-1956). In accordance with the founder's will, the prize honours outstanding work in the recognition, treatment and cure of nervous diseases.

Eligible for the Prize are young scientists and physicians (up to 45 years, exceptions due to family duties are possible) doing research in basic, translational or clinical neurosciences. Candidates should be Swiss or have been working in Switzerland for a significant amount of time.
 
The Prize is awarded every two years with a prize money of CHF 50'000.– for a single laureate or CHF 30'000.– each for two laureates.


Applications can be submitted by candidates or by the responsible of their institute or academic institution. Applications from female researchers are highly encouraged. Applications must be written in English and registered online.

 

The next submission deadline is planned for the Spring 2022.

 

 

Robert Bing Prize laureates 2020

The Robert Bing Prize 2020 has been awarded to Prof. Johanna Joyce and to Prof. Grégoire Courtine, both from Lausanne.
